The Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra is an orchestra for the most talented graduates of all music schools in Poland. Our goal is to give each musician the opportunity to make his or her artistic debut. We ensure continuing professional education with outstanding artistic experts.
October 12, 2008 - Warsaw Nationa Philharmonic
The inaugural concert
“It was with genuine pleasure that I listened to the young artists whose passion for playing music together brings them authentic joy. An emotional approach to music combined with the experience and precision of Antoni Wit, who conducted the concert, meant that we witnessed a concert that was an outstanding portent of what we can expect from this young, but already uncommonly skillful ensemble. A witness to the first concert was maestro Jerzy Semkow, the person behind the concept of creating the orchestra and its patron. The ovation that the young musicians received from the public was in this case fully deserved.

“A musician’s life in Poland is not a bed of roses. After years of
arduous studies he or she must often change professions as jobs in
music are scarce. Sinfonia Iuventus is an initiative that will at least
partially make the start of a real career a bit easier. It’s worth
supporting this project.”

“The ensemble’s calling cards are its very high level of instrumental
playing and its openness resulting from youth and ambition, which
allows the young musicians to follow the ideas of the conductor. The
wind instruments played fantastically and mastery of the material was
displayed by the violin players, who performed all the fragments of the
fugato, particularly difficult to play, extremely precisely. “

”After barely working together for a year, the Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra plays like…the National Philharmonic Orchestra. It is a team in the fullest professional sense of the word, one that does an excellent job of reading the intentions of the band leader – after all it was conducted by the director of the National Orchestra.”
